Back the Town Foundation to celebrate!
Following on from last night’s emphatic 3-2 victory over Blackburn, we thought we’d share some more good news.
As he ran on to the pitch in the 87th minute to replace Danel Sinani, Josh Ruffels became the one thousandth player to pull on the famous blue and white stripes in a competitive fixture.
To mark the occasion, we published an open letter to congratulate Josh and introduce him to those who’ve gone before. To find out who the other 999 are, visit the Player Database collection on the Heritage Project website.
We’ve also launched a fundraiser for the Town Foundation, with the aim of raising £1 for everyone who’s turned out for the club—hence, ‘£1000 for 1000 Players’. Donate here.
And while we’re here, a reminder that you can vote for your favourite historic players to enter the Heritage Project Hall of Fame. Vote here.
